My new addiction

While wandering the internet I've come across this great blog, Hollow Happenings. It's all about the activities at Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center near San Juan Island, Washington. There are lots of adorable pictures, wildlife information, heartwarming stories and a few sad ones too, but well worth the visit.

Very sweet - I love the owls :)

What a wonderful site, I could easily work in an animal rehab sanctuary. Have nourished many hurt wee ones back to health with just simple common sense...but it is a calling.

Hi Christie,
I've had fun looking around your blog. You've got a lot of interesting stuff here. I love the kraken.
It's nice to meet you.

Hi Christie!

Thanks for the plug about my blog, Hollow Happenings! I have been volunteering at Wolf Hollow for over 4 years now and it's the one thing I look forward to every week! I am sidelined with food poisoning so I am going to do my best to update it tomorrow with the info about our juvenile Trumpeter swan that we have had in for awhile. Thanks again!

Thanks for the link--this refuge is actually not far from where my son lives, so I'll plan a visit next time I go west. I love the photo of the little saw whet owl; they're absolutely adorable in person, too. If you're ever a bit south of Oklahoma, consider visiting the Heard Museum in Fairview (next door to McKinney) where there's a similar refuge for prairie critters.
