I always loved that picture, also. Now, next thing we know you will be making gramaphone chandeliers with spiders or some kind of weird animal or eyes staring out at us. Like I said. LOVE ya, anyway!!! Auntie J
I have on eof these HUGE RCA "thingy's" in my attic. I bought it at a yeard sale so excited and yet never did anythign with it. NOW I will make a light for sure!! Thanx for sharing and for popping by my blog last week!
I hope that the chandelier was made from a Victrola that was beyond repair! It's still fairly easy to get records to play on them, and suppliers that can provide needles and other parts to rehab them. There's just nothing like listening to '20s and '30s jazz on an old machine. The "Morning Glory" amplifier makes a good lighting fixture, but please only if it's no longer useful in its original context.
There is in every true woman's heart a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity; but which kindles up, and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.-- Washington Irving (1783-1859) American Writer
A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary, man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death."

Oh, I love these!! My father collects gramophones...I wonder if he would enjoy these or find them offensive?? Either way, I think it is so clever!
