I cleansed my life and home just a little over 2 years ago. It's a real struggle not to fill up the empty places, but I do love the simplicity.

Thanks for sharing!Cyndi and Stumpyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15945219976457829612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5776253648628968007.post-26962089201069501792009-05-22T12:03:08.177-07:002009-05-22T12:03:08.177-07:00The thoughtlessness, bitterness, and just plain me...The thoughtlessness, bitterness, and just plain meaness I occasionaly stumble upon on the web never ceases to amaze me. First of all, I will concede that there are some ugly things on that blog. However, your truly artistic, hand crafted and hand sculpted chandelier in no way deserves to be lumped in with them. But that is beside the point.
We've all seen some things for sale on Etsy and other sites that are of questionable taste, are poorly and sloppily executed, or have a "wtf is he/she thinking?" price tag, but most of us move on, minding our own business. To each his own, I always say. Apparently, the pearl of wisdom, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all," was not passed on to this particular blogger (and numerous others) by her mother. Knowing the courage it takes to put yourself and your creative endeavors out for public view, I would never dream of publicly humiliating and criticizing someone's handmade work (however poorly made or ugly in my opinion).
This blogger, and all the others like her, must be very unhappy, angry people. Personally, I have so many creative pursuits, next-big-ideas, irons in the fire, family outings, culinary experiments, etc keeping me busy, that I wouldn't have time to spout such ugliness on the web, even if I wanted to. Perhaps the faceless writer of "Ugly Things for Sale", hiding behind the anonimity of the internet, should pour her energy into actually creating something, instead of attacking the creations of others, who she is obviously far superior to.
Just remember that she'll still be living her sad, angry, not very creative life while you're spending the profits from the sale of that kick ass chandelier. :)
Hugs and kisses to you, my friend. Keep on bringing the awesome.Holly Hallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03811532113860595918noreply@blogger.com
